Families survive as streets, not bunkers. Know your eight nearest neighbours and their skills.

Every historical crisis says the same thing: families survive as streets, not as bunkers. Know your 8 nearest neighbours by name and skill; be the person who's mildly useful before the crisis (jump-start, ladder, tomatoes over the fence). A street that trusts each other is a watch rota, a skills bank, a childcare pool, and a dozen extra eyes — no lone family can post a sentry and still farm, cook, and sleep. Your barter/goodwill box (lighters, salt, soap, coffee, seeds, batteries) is a diplomacy kit. Charity from strength: giving a neighbour soup makes allies; being discovered hoarding makes targets. This page is the module most preppers skip and the one that decides outcomes.
