If you are reading this because you cannot find the grown-ups right now, then start with The first things. It tells you what to do, in order, one step at a time. You do not have to read the rest.
If nothing is wrong and you are just having a look, that is good. Have a read now while everything is calm. It is much easier to remember something you read on an ordinary day.
Two things worth knowing before anything else.
You will not have to work everything out on your own forever. Someone who knows you will come and find you. Your job is to stay safe and stay easy to find until they do.
And if there is a younger child with you, look after each other. Staying together is one of the most useful things you can do.
